Note to self:

8 Aug

Cry it out is hard to do for many, many reasons.

In progress as we speak type.

He’s finally sleeping after almost 2 hours… let me just say it’s very hard to ignore your baby when he’s standing up in his crib and crying with tears streaming down his cheeks.

😦

EDIT:

Alright, I can say I’m impressed. B has been sleeping through the night since he was 2 months old, but since we’d moved him to his crib not that long ago, it was a little off & on. For the past month, we would have him fall asleep on our bed and then transfer him to his crib. He would sleep for maybe an hour or 2 and then wake up crying and not fall back asleep until we brought him into our bed.

Needless to say- that’s dangerous now that he can crawl. So, I am being a hypocrite and we have resorted to the CIO method and last night he slept for almost 6 hours without waking. Woke at 3 A.M and it took another hour of CIO and checking in on him until he fell back asleep… which he did until 8 A.M. Pretty good- I would say.

This is only the 1st night though- so I’m not going to jinx myself!

Night 2:

(Husbands night) ((We’ve always took turns every other night getting up with B so we’re not both “crazy” tired the next day))

Took less than 1 hour to get him to sleep.

Woke up once in the middle of the night and took an hour or maybe a little less- I’m not sure, I was trying to sleep 😉

Progress!

Night 3:

Put B to bed with no tears, watched him on the monitor as he sat in his crib for a while without freaking out, and eventually fell asleep. Whaaaa… who are you and what have you done to my baby who hates his crib???

Slept until 2:30, woke and it took about 30 minutes to get him  back to sleep.

Woke again around 5:40 and only took 5 minutes for him to go back to sleep until 7.

Got up this morning to a happy baby who was sitting up in his crib and talking to himself.

Love ❤
